2018 Term 2 program

The year is well and truly under way and it is hard to believe that we are half way through April and the first lot of school holidays is over already. We had five fun activities for children through the holidays and all of them ran well with lots of smiles and lots of fun.

We have had record numbers in many of our popular classes. My advice would be to get your name down as soon as possible or you might miss out. Program can be found here.

Seaside Singers, Ukulele, Italian and Essays and Ideas are all competing for being the most popular activities this year. Term Two sees a few changes to the schedule for both Italian groups as our tutor heads away for a break. Jill has fitted in four classes around her travel dates so you won’t be missing out and we have allocated class space for the regulars to come in and practice together while she is on leave.

Beginners Art is back again, the feedback has once again been great from the full class in Term One. If you were on the waiting list you will receive an email shortly asking if you are still interested.

Justine Demaine from The Quirky Therapist is going to run a self esteem workshop for young girls 9– 13 years old. Looking at and discussing issues relevant to the age group. Topics will be guided by the participants but will cover topics such as bullying, body image, social media and more.

Handbells will be back for two sessions over one weekend and culminating in a small concert for family and friends. You don’t need to have participated in a previous workshop to come along to this one.

Cheese making with John Miller will be run over two days and you will go home with up to five different cheeses and the knowledge of how to make them at home. John uses simple tools and methods that anyone can utilise in their own home.

Remember you can join most of our activities at any time. We always like to hear from you and what you might be interested in learning. Let us know if there is anything you would be interested in.
