New year new opportunities for learning.
To start the year off we have all our most popular activities, Seaside Singers, Ukulele, Italian, Yoga and Essays and Ideas.
Last year we added two great new activities and two great women to run them. We are pleased to say they are both continuing with us in 2018 and adding to the diversity of offerings for Term One. Chris – who ran a comprehensive Basic Art Class – is coming back again to offer a new Art class exploring Australian art and the techniques, and has agreed to another Beginners class for those who missed out in 2017. We also welcomed Suzanne with her fabulous set of Handbells. The bells and Suzanne are both coming back as well. Get in quick if you are the slightest bit interested in either of these great activities.
After the success of the felting class we have been able to convince our wonderful tutors to offer two more workshops for people who would like to learn felting or bring along their own project for expert quidance. You can book for one or both of these workshops.
We have teamed up with WIRE (Women’s Information Referral Exchange) to run two separate workshops for Women. Both have a focus on finances, one for younger women and one for older women. Both workshops will be about managing financial wellbeing. These activities are both free.
Do you have a young girl in the household who could do with a bit of guidance? Justine Demaine from The Quirky Therapist is going to run a 6 session workshop for young girls 10 – 12 years old. They will look at and discuss issues relevant to the age group. Topics will be guided by the participants but will cover topics such as bullying, body image, social media and more.
The Magic of Self running in March is learning techniques to make positive changes in your life. Joanne follows the philosophy of Louise Hay, teaching how the way we think can shape the life we have. This will be a great workshop for anyone who wants to create a better life.
Remember you can join most of our activities at any time. We always like to hear from you and what you might be interested in learning. Let us know if there is anything you would be interested in.
